Improved Circulation

One of the major benefits of Yoga is that it can improve your circulation. This leads to many benefits in the treatment of disease (like diabetes and heart disease), but is helpful to everyone who participates.

Yoga is all about stretching. Doing basic stretching exercises, simple exercises like Triang Mukhaipada Paschimottanasana and even more advanced yoga poses like the Warrior poses are all going to stretch your body, often in varied and unusual positions you do not attain in your everyday life without the help of regular yoga practice.

In performing these stretches, you are moving your body in ways that you are not used to, working muscles you don’t normally work. When you work out a muscle, you’re increasing blood flow to that part of the body. Therefore, stretching muscles, and putting your body into these “weird” positions brings blood to areas which are generally lacking in bloodflow.

Just another great benefit of an excellent exercise: Yoga!
